Where We’re Taking You

Pre-Cruise: Welcome to Ft. Lauderdale! An Elite Cruises concierge will meet you at the airport and escort you to our pre-cruise group hotel so you have a chance to relax and enjoy the beautiful Florida weather before our cruise. In the evening we will sit down for a lovely group Thanksgiving Dinner where none of us has to worry about the hassle of cooking and washing the dishes! Transportation to the port is included with your hotel stay so once you arrive your vacation has officially started.

November 28: Welcome onboard the Rotterdam! Elite Cruises staff will handle your luggage and escort you to your cabin where you can get settled before a night on the town. Join us for a group dinner, then get ready for an evening of theater, dancing, or dueling pianos at one of the many entertainment venues onboard.

November 29-30: These days at sea feature programs exclusively for our group with workshops and conferences for caregivers as well as respite/adult daycare where our staff takes over so caregivers can take the break they deserve. Respite activities can include music therapy, art, games, puzzles, movies, and more. Tell us what activities your loved ones enjoy and we’ll make it happen! Our supported cruises are fully customizable so every member of your family gets to do something they enjoy and have a true vacation.

December 1: Eat a hearty breakfast because today we’re in Curacao and no visit to this island us complete without tasting the bright blue liquor they are famous for. Adventurous travelers can swim with dolphins, snorkel with turtles, and stop at one of the many pristine beaches on the island.

December 2-3: We’re spending the night in Aruba to give travelers more time to explore the colorful Caribbean town of Orangestad and beyond. Take a tour of the island to visit lighthouses, historic churches, and view the towering cacti that dot the island landscape. Spend a full day on the beach working on your tan and sipping tropical cocktails. Take an evening sail around the coast and watch one of the stunning sunsets the island is known for. Or amp up the adventure with horseback riding on the beach, ATV tours across the sand, or even diving to ship wrecks!

December 4-5: These days at sea give us another chance to enjoy caregiver conferences and workshops and take advantage of the ship’s amenities. We highly recommend a trip to the hydrotherapy pool in the spa which is our favorite spot to relax onboard.

December 6: Half Moon Cay is everyone’s favorite spot, with white sand beaches and stunning blue waters. Spend the day here feeding the fish, taking a glass bottom boat ride, relaxing in a cabana, and enjoying a beach BBQ! A day on this award-winning private island is the perfect end to the perfect vacation.

December 7: Leaving our ship doesn’t have to mean the end of all the fun! Extend your vacation with a post-cruise stay at our group hotel and keep enjoying the warm Florida sunshine. When you’re ready to head home an Elite Cruises concierge will escort you to the airport for your return flight.

• Accessible accommodations and excursions and mobility device reservations can be made through our agency. Private accessible transport is also available to/from port. Elite Cruises is a certified accessible travel advocate.

• Neuroplasticity focused activities curated by our programming director. These activities are tailored to the lifestyle and preferences of any attendees.
• Group accompanied by medical professionals, including RN support 24/7.

Wheelchair accessible and mobility accessible staterooms are available on a first come first serve basis. All cabins on the ship can be retrofitted to be accessible with elevated toilet seats, shower chairs, and detachable shower heads at no additional cost. Arrangements can be made to rent assistive devices such as manual wheelchairs, scooters, power wheelchairs, etc. unless travelers prefer to bring their own from home.

Rotterdam offers vacation experiences for all ages!

Create lifelong memories with all generations of your family on Holland America Line’s Rotterdam. Younger family members will enjoy dedicated activities and entertainment at Club HAL while adults unwind at Greenhouse Spa or at the casino. All generations can come together for some fun at the spacious Sea View Pool or at one of the many music venues on board.
