Seattle to Seattle
Join us on our most popular voyage, our Elite supported Alaskan Adventure! This bucket list cruise and caregiver retreat takes us north from Seattle where unspoiled wilderness, picturesque port towns, and culinary delights await all travelers. Highlights of Alaska include watching for whales right from our ship, discovering the rich cultural heritage of indigenous peoples and learning the history behind the totems found everywhere, indulging in the freshest seafood imaginable, and getting up close to glaciers in Glacier Bay while warming up with some hot chocolate or mulled wine.
This group voyage is appropriate for:
Solo travelers
Multigenerational families
Travelers celebrating special events
Seniors who enjoy a concierge travel experience
Wheelchair users or travelers with accessibility requirements
Travelers with Alzheimer’s/Dementia
Caregivers and their loved ones who require a heavily supported travel experience.
Where We’re Taking You
Pre-Cruise: There’s so much to discover in Seattle so meet us here for a pre-cruise hotel stay to get the fun started a little early. Our amenities start as soon as your plane lands and you’re met at baggage claim by an Elite Cruises staff member before being escorted to our hotel. Meet our staff and other travelers, see the amazing sights like Pike Place Market or the Chihuly glass museum and gardens, and get a chance to relax before we head north to Alaska!
September 20: Welcome aboard the MS Eurodam! On day 1 of our voyage we’ll get to know each other over lunch onboard before going up on deck to wave goodbye to Seattle. After unpacking and getting settled it’s time for a night out with a group dinner followed by enjoying one of the many entertainment venues on board.
September 21: This day at sea features programs exclusively for our group with workshops and conferences for caregivers as well as caregiver respite where our staff takes over. Our respite activities can include music therapy, art, games, puzzles, movies, and more. Tell us what activities your loved ones enjoy and we can make it happen because our voyages are fully customizable and are meant to be a vacation for every member of your family.
September 22: We’ll spend the morning on the observation deck as we cruise through scenic Stephen’s Passage, enjoying coffee and tea while watching the absolutely stunning scenery. After lunch we’ll arrive in Juneau where travelers have their pick of excursions such as whale watching, kayaking, or meeting some sled dogs!
September 23: Begin your day by stepping out on the bow of the ship where you’ll be met with the jaw dropping views of Glacier Bay. Then meet with park rangers for a talk about the glaciers and learn more about the National Park or change into your swimsuit for a dip in the hot tub on back of the ship! Enjoy a peaceful morning before stopping at Icy Straight Point to visit the museum, take a ride up the mountain gondola, or walk along the water and watch the sunset.
September 24: Sitka is one of our favorite ports because there is something for everyone here! Go on a wildlife quest, walk through the forests, visit an eagle rescue center, or spend your day visiting the little shops in town. Whatever you do, don’t leave here without trying a reindeer sausage for lunch!
September 25: Ketchikan is as charming as Alaska gets! We can’t get enough of the colorful old buildings, totem poles, lumberjack shows, and fresh seafood everywhere (including on the salmon ladder stream running through town). If you’re going to splurge on any bucket list excursions Ketchikan is the place to do it, offering plenty of private fishing charters or even sea plane rides!
September 26: This day at sea will be spent enjoying more conferences and workshops with our guest speakers before enjoying a group lunch at The Pinnacle Grill before caregiver respite in the afternoon. At night we’ll dock in Victoria, BC for one last adventure before traveling back to Seattle overnight.
September 27: We’re back in Settle but the fun doesn’t have to end here. If you’re not ready to go home quite yet spend a couple extra days in Seattle with us after the cruise to explore more of the city or venture to Tacoma to visit LeMay-America’s Car Museum which is a favorite spot of many of our travelers.
